Vietnam Pattern Tomahawk ?

It's an older Cold Steel Vietnam tomahawk modeled after Peter LaGana's tomahawk design......VTAC.
 
What gives it away as a Cold Steel snake ? I had the same model what is throwing me off is the squared shoulders on the eye.
 
I was noticing the shoulders before I posted as well, but I think what we are seeing (in the pic showing the side of the hawk, not the top of the hawk) is more from the worn red paint making it appear more squared off than it is. The only other vietnam styled hawk that comes close to these lines are the older LaGana models and this just doesn't match up. I could be wrong but I'm just about positive it's the Cold Steel.

If Dusty One chimes in he would know for sure, but again, about sure it's Cold Steel.

I think it's a Cold Steel also just looks a little different than any of the others I have seen. My edge cover also was stamped American tomahawk co. this one isn't.
 
No Snake it has a home made one on it now. The only pic I have of the haft.
 
For some reason I can't enlarge the image to see that handle better but I could swear that's definitely Cold Steel
 
Yes that pic sucks I am just trying to help out a guy I know. He got it at an auction and is trying to ID it before he does anything with it.
