Viewson the SOG tsunami

Don't own one, heard lots of good things about them though. I think our buddy Wildmanh here on the forums has one or maybe had one. Never heard anything bad about them at all.

You are right Robbie, I do have one and it's pretty cool. Saw some use back in '03 and a little in '04 before I got my Tech I and the Bowie.. It's lighter and thinner then the Tech I... Will probably see some use this spring when I start camping again.. It's a nice knife. IMO would make a good dive knife or Utility knife around camp or where ever. Probably also a good SD knife. :)

I can give some "views" for you. These are only a sampling of what I took. If you want some high resolution images, I can email you some (just give me a little time).

Also in my files are images of the Mini Tsunami.

Since I haven't used the Tsunami, I can't give you a "field report." What I can say is that it is well built and will function well in the field. It has similar materials of other knives I have used which have proved themselves as quite fine knives.

I carry the Mini Tsunami quite a bit as a back up to my GLOCK. I have found it to be an excellent knife and a great buy for the money. The sheath was no good for concealed carry so I had a custom kydex IWB rig made for it.

Thanks. I'm just having fun with my digital camera. You should see the high res images! :)

BTW...how are you? Last I heard, you were on your "death bed." Hope you're back to normal.

Ron, I am better, I've made it to the edge of the bed :D .

Did you also take those pics of those Teamleaders a while back ? Those were some really nice pics also. Your doing an amazing job with your photos, please show us more when you can. Thanks.

Ron, those are some nice close ups. Think you could share some pics of the whole knife? ;)

Your wish is my command! :)

Also are a couple of pictures of the Mini Tsunami with Eric's (from On/Scene Tactical) custom sheath! I never tire of admiring his work!

Gosh ! Man you need to start doing some of this on the side, looks to me like you could make loads of extra $$$$$ with pics this detailed.

Now like I told our buddy up north after looking at some of his shots, all you need to do is add a little greenery to these salads, a little flowing water, a few water droplets on the blade, get my drift ?

Man, what a detailed pic............. I won't say no more here........

Hey Ron - Good to see you on here again ~ even if you are just visiting.

Can anyone confirm that the Tsunami is still being produced. I have been unable to find it, either at my distributors, or on the SOG catalog site.

Thanks

I have a Tsunami. Very nice knife, but I wish I could get one without the serrations.

Unfortunately the Tsunami has been discontinued. We sold our remaining stock in the last quarter of 2004 and have been out of them ever since. You might still be able to find one online somewhere. I would try checking Ebay or just searching some online retailers.

Good Luck
Chris

Thanks Chris - I was afraid of that; because of the reasons I listed in my last post. It was a great design - tantos in that size range seem to sell well.

Mine is prettier than all of y'alls :D
