Since I said we were sold out of Durba made khukuris this one turned up as a surprise. Vikash had set it aside in a special hidden spot because it had a little rust near the tip which he wanted to polish off when he got the time. So, let's call this one a Vikash deal of the day.

It's a typical high quality Durba 18 inch, 22 ounce Sirupati and I can't find a thing wrong with it. Fit, finish, hardness all typical Durba. I especially like the karda with this one -- a small sirupati style. I notice that some of the kamis have taken to making the kardas to reflect the big blade -- nice touch. Chakma also is very nicely done.

Scabbard is well made and nicely tooled by sarki with no name. Frog is standard 100 year HI superfrog.

Vikash will polish off the rust and deliver this rig to your door for $75.

Favorite lurker again? What is that, four in two days? I think he beat Rusty's old record. He must've win the lottery or something. I feel sorry for his postman, having to lug around a fifteen pound box of khukuris.

The lurker is a great guy just like all the rest of the forumites but for his own reasons he doesn't post. We have quite a few just like him. I have a very old pal (30 or 35 year close friendship) from Sacramento who reads the forum a couple of times each day to see what I'm up to but he never posts, either.

Sigh....so much for Jim's JKV....so Jim owns 2 khukuris and another 36 at arm's length which explains why he doesn't have HIKV...clever!!!
