Vikash made a liar out of me. I said there was only one of the Kumar and master kami khukuris. But when I asked Vikash to clean up Howard's Kumar and master kami special and get it ready to ship I happened to mention to Vikash that I wish I had a couple more. He said, "we have one more."

Really! He dug it out of its hiding place and here it is in case anybody is interested.

It is the same thing that Howard bought except Kumar marked this one -- I am almost certain this is number two, made after the old timer left BirGorkha and headed home. I notice that when there is a collaboration in the shop the khukuri often goes unmarked but will have some kind of crazy cho that sets it apart from standard offerings. As you can clearly see, the handle is the standard black water buffalo horn rather than that beautiful gray I almost kept myself but all else is the same.

This one is $150 because it does not have the rare gray horn.

Call or email if interested.

I'll pass on this one, Uncle Bill as what with the Katana, Kothimoda, etc. I have a flat wallet.

I would like to take this one, in case it is still available.

Cho on this and the grey handled one are very different.

OK, Joe, I'll try to get it shipped today and thanks.

I think Kumar has installed a different cho as sort of a tribute to the old kami who may have advised him or helped him get this design together. My guess only and I sometimes have great difficulty trying to outguess the kamis.

But no matter what, this is a very good knife and different enough to make it collectible.

Ongoing wider variations of cho, someday we'll find a new cho suitable for bottle opener! The cho on the karda is so close... or was it made on purpose?
