Hi there again!

Here is a new dagger from the north of Sweden. I call it 'Segerfaders Fingirin'. Segerfader (Victory-father) is an old name for Oden, father of the gods. Fingirin is an old word (not used today) for 'finger'.

The blade is a 3 bar damascus blade. Handle is Stab. birch and mammoth bark, damascus and 925 silver. Sheath is a 2 section rawhide leather sheath with a small damascus onlay.

Stunning work in every sense!

Do we still have Kings and Princes to commission these kinds of pieces? This one's completion should be a state occasion.

Fabulous! definitely something only a king would have been able to get their hands on. That blade is awesome and the way the pattern in the steel came out is unbelievable. That sheath though, it deserves it's own thread. I'd love to see a how it's made thread on both the sheath and the damascus . Wild stuff.

has such a massive presence, I'd love to give that a heft. And as always amazing embellishment and finish work. Must be hard to give something like that up after you've completed it.

Thanks everybody for the credit, really appreciate it!

Lorien: Na, when I´m done with it I´m so tired of seeing it I cant´wait to pack it up and ship away. It was a few weeks since I finished it and it looks better now then when I sent it to the customer, so it feels nice for the eyes to rest a bit like this:)

I'm not sure what I'm more impressed with the dagger or the leatherwork on the sheath. Okay it's the dagger, but that's still a very nice job on the leather work. I don't suppose you'd consider doing a work in progress thread would you? I know that's asking a lot since you don't exactly get paid to take all those pictures. I just thought I'm ask...

I will try to get something togheter some day. It can be hard to find time to do it, but this is not the first request I get regarding the leatherwork and I understand that there are people out there who would be interested. I´ll do my best!
