Viking Sword vid

I haven't seen the video, but I see the name "Hank Reinhardt" prominently displayed on the cover, that's all I need to know.
HR is without a doubt one of the most knowledgable swordsmen alive.

That's the thing I don't get. According to everyone I have ever heard mention him Hank is a veritable fount of knowledge on the subject of swords. Even so he continues to associate with MRL and Windlass. I don't get it. I know I know Ken you have bought fencing blades from them that have done you good service but from just about every other quarter I hear nothing but dissatisfied reports with MRL/Windlass quality, fit, finish etc. etc. The recent blow up over at the HACA did not do much for Hank's reputation either I would think.

Yeah, I understand your consternation Triton, but think about it.
Who else has either the need, or the resources to keep a "Full time Sword Expert" on the staff?

Sure, there are a lot of companies out there that make better swords, but how many of them could afford to hire him?

Look at it this way...
How bad would MRL's swords be if HR was NOT there?

Right, it makes a lot of sense for MRL to retain Hank, it gives them some legitimacy in the eyes of some people. In a financial sense it may make sense for Hank to stay with MRL as well. On the other hand where does reputation come into this? Most people that use their reputation to sell a product would like that product to have at least a decent reputation of its own.
