Village khukuri and Safety Reminder

Got my Village khuk from Bill Friday. Unfortunately, I wasn't careful enough drawing the knife and it slid through the sheath and cut my palm. Thankfully, it was not a very deep cut. I think the frog is what helped prevent a deeper cut.

REMINDER: Be careful drawing your khukris.

Bill, you were right -- it is pretty ugly, but I love it! I think it is a great size (14" OAL, according to my tape measure) and weight. Already used it to take care of some weeds in the yard.

I really like the size and the shape of the blade seems a little different. Maybe a little wider??? I am I out of it or is there any truth to this?

Very pleased you didn't do major damage, Clay.

For being so ugly this little villager has been a real hit with customers. The style is just a bit different, Clay. You are not out of it.
