I've got a couple or three village models like this one. Almost 15 inches, a little over a pound, wood handle -- could be partial tang but they've been holding up pretty well. Pretty decent fit and finish for a villager. Karda and chakma essentially worthless. Good scabbard and frog.

Not as pretty as HI but should do a lot of work.

Take these away for $50 each.

Give you a hard time??? Me??? Who would do that to a kindly, thoughtful old (but not as old as me) researcher. Heaven forfend :rolleyes: I'll do that when my new villager arrives. Wonder if it was made by one of Durba's relatives...Hmmm:p

That's right...I am giving 'sis' the go-ahead on the dissimination of your posts to what we call here 'the-woman-net'. You know how they always find out everything eventually? Sorry Jim but no one has to ask my permission for anything. I have yet to entrap a male to that degree. As for women knowing everything you are right we do, but we dont need friends of a friend to tell us. You guys are very predictable! Just remember "Hell hath no fury like a woman's scorn."
