Not on the ball enough to take a pic before I got started, but here's one with the crack partly full of sawdust and Tru-Oil.

And now a nice smoothly finished product after the superglue on top, with a Tru-Oil finish mostly done. Thank much for advice:

Nice grain on that handle, Phil.

Another 15 coats, and it'll look stunning.

Don't get me wrong, Phil. For a villager, it looks PLENTY fine just as it is. You can barely tell there were cracks to begin with.

Yeah, I don't have you wrong. I just thought it would take less time to fill those pores.

You did a great job with the fills in the table too...

Great Closeup Pics! What kind of camera did you use? I've had a hard time getting sharp pics of knives.

Canon EOS 20D with EF50mm f/1.4 at ISO 1600. Some of the images here were taken with this camera (I'm an avid hobbyist). The key is in getting enough shutter speed.

Try using manual mode and setting your flash exposure to -1 to -1.5 stops. Should give you added shutter speed while just filling in the highlights nicely.

Me Likey!!!! :D Nuff said.;) Wonderful job Phil! You're turning into a real craftsman!
