I just got a SQUARE and a triangle packages from HI. I received a VILLAGER falcata and a 19 5/8 inch 18 ounce Himalayan Sword by Bura. The Himalayan sword is more of a bowie than a sword. The blade is 14" and it handles really fast. I really, really like this knife!

The falcata is the standard size and weight, but with a satin finish instead of the highly polished finish they normally come with and is very sharp.

Edited to remove the DOTD picture. See the post below for pictures.

More pictures to come soon

Nothing better than sharing the happiness, unless the blades come to your own door.

awesome pic! 3 models I have no experience with at alll...let's hear some reviews. :D

Hi Dan,

There picture is from the deal of the day. I won the center knife, the Himalayan Sword, and lost out on the crow knife. I will try to get some pics tonight of the falcata and the H. sword. They are both really well done with the falcata scabbard having some beautiful carving and the villager finish I prefer.

man. that was bizzare. i could have sworn for 1 second i saw a knife on your banner link that was a tracker style, but with a finger hole at the index, and a hole in the center of the forward section for a finger as well.... but now its gone....

i know it was there, becuase i clicked the link trying to find a larger photo of it... but then i refreshed and it was gone...

falcata's are fun stuff :D

edit, i did! dan, is there a larger photo of that knife somewhere online?

Like to see the pix of villager falcata, Ted, whenever you can.

Was that a special order? and neat sword, one like it today too.

Seth, try this link. He has some nice pics there. http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=385995&page=3

Mike - Yep, it was a special order as I don't much like the shiny blades. That said, I got the other Himalayan sword today also. Together they will make a espada y dagga set. Pretty cool as I'll have the only set. At least for now. ;) I'll try to get some pics tomorrow night. Just don't have time.

Ok, here are some pics. This link will take you to some more photos. http://web.mac.com/tedwilson/iWeb/Khukuris/Falcata and Himalayan.html

Villager? Looks just like mine :D maybe a satin finish but same carving.

the sword is flat out cool. "Himalayan Toothpick?"

"Yeti Backscratcher?"

scabbard, too, is nice wood.

Actually, Shiva and Ganesh's feet are crossed on yours and they have a glossy finish on them and the actual carving seems more refined. I'm thinking a little finish on mine and it's good to go though. I picked up the larger Himalayan sword(27") also, so I'll have a Himalayan espada y dagga set. The longer sword is bone handled though, hmmm guess I'll need to buy a matching set here soon:)

The Falcutta is, of course, so lovely.

but, that sword just sings to me!

Thanks, Ted, for the song.
