Hello all, I am the proud owner of the VUK by new Kami Tej. I just wanted to note for the forum that his mark is a small left facing swastika or fylfot. The knife is well balanced, seems to jump right into my hand, and is a natural extension of my body. Truly a lovely knife. Excellent temper. Keeping my eyes peeled for another VUK in this weight and length.
 
Welcome to the forum Uraninite! That was my favorite pick. Them two tone handles are cool! Yes the VUKs are definitely a great all around knife. I cant count how many I have anymore. I pick up a good deal anytime I get a chance because they are a great first gift Khuk for anybody at a great price. Where are you going to get a hand made knife of that quality for 55 semolians? Enjoy it and happy choppin! Feel free to hang out here and BS all you want. Great bunch of folks here.
 
Thanks for the welcome, I tend to lurk, but I will try and post and contribute. I volunteer on the weekends building new hiking and dog walking trails for the town, and it turns out kukris work really well for the bushclearing after I go through the first time with a chainsaw and drop the big stuff. 18" Ontario machetes were the previous tool of choice, but they have rapidly been tossed aside or relegated to root chopping. The shorter, snappier blades are safer and seem more efficient. I can see myself adding more and more to my collection.
