I can stop any time I want... I just don't want to...

So ummmm, I know Kumar blades are the bomb. How does this compare to the Bura WWII I just got from you Yangdu?

Wow, that's a beautiful WWII! Congrats, HR, you snagged a beauty.

Now start sharing, I don't have a WWII yet... ;)

Ummmm I have an unused Bura WWII I might be willing to part with... seems to be they are reproducing like crazy on me!

Seriously, I might be letting the Bura go when the Kumar arrives.

Whoa, Kumar's back? Thought he was gone, or on haitus.

Nice blade. His really are a sweet balance of art and strength.

Sorry to pounce on it, but everything I read said Kumar is the man... so figured I had to make like a froggy and jump! Yangdu needs to nuke my account here before I'm homeless with the greatest khukuri collection on Earth!

Just received this email from Yangdu, it should answer a couple questions above:

Bura's WWII are slightly heavier than Kumar.
Kumar made this one in year 2005 he is very good knife maker.

I love Yangdu's emails, short and to the point... complete economy of words!

You're going to love that khuk and sheath. Two great artists put their time into that rig:)

Kumar was my favorite Kami. He seemed to make his khuks and knives just right for my hand.

Well as long as you keep your filthy pirate hands off it! :grumpy:

There is something fundamentally wrong with only being on this site for like a week and having 5 HI Khuks either in hand or on the way.

Now I just need an Ang Khola!

My first H.I. Khukri is a 20" Ang Khola made by Kumar.

It's still my #1 power chopper.

I don't know if this is the standard for the Ang Khola design, but Kumar made mine with an edge bevel which is almost perfectly flat and only very slightly concave. All my other khukri's have convex edge bevels. Generally I prefer 'em convex BUT the result of Kumar's work is that big Ang Khola bites deeper into wood than any other edged cutting tool I have ever owned. It's like a big stout meat cleaver.
