I'm not home now but I'll double check. Since it's easily pinched I didn't notice a problem.Very nice! What is the pull on the blades?
Thanks Gary. I've been lusting after a saddlehorn for a while. The single blades by Case are a little smaller and the larger ones were missing something when I looked, which is how I ended up with the Rough Ryder bow trapper. It was a compromise but still a nice pattern.Congrats, Alan; that looks like a splendid knife!
(And it reminds me that I should try out the saddle horn pattern sometime.)

Interesting what you wrote about Rough Ryders. I thought they used to carry "normal" saddlehorn patterns, but the only RR saddlehorn I see currently seems to me (and my less than perfect eyes) to be identical to a RR clip/spey bow trapper. Marbles has a 5" closed model with "swoopy" D2 blades that is too big for my taste. Frost has a bunch of saddlehorn knives that look very traditional, in a wide variety of handle materials, but I'm reluctant to try Frost products. Thanks Gary.
