I just picked up a swiss army knife. It has 2 blades and a double wound cork screw on the back. The larger blade says "ARMEE SUISSE" beside a cross. The other side of the blade says"Victoria Switzerland Stainless". On the face of the blade is lightly etched "Baumbedare Zurich".
The sides appear to be either Rosewood or somekind of wood like resin.
This is different from any other SAK I have seen. Can anyone shed light on this knife
Thanks Der Flinger Flonger

If nobody in the multitool and multipurpose knife section where this should be knows, then you could try asking on sakwiki.
I think your knife would be 1950's or earlier, and the handles could be actual rosewwood or their old brownish red synthetic they used.
If I'm not mistaken the armee Suisse would indicate that it's a military knife or derived from their original design.

I will try to transfer the post to the other section. Altho I think you are right about the age. I have some pix I will try to post too.
I picked this knife and 3 more up in a thrift store for a dollar each. I got a Buck 722 that looks brand new and the date code on it indicates that, and a Buck 709 (1996) and a Black SAK Officier Brand new. All for a dollar each.

Thanks

Wow, that's a helluva score right there.
My best score was an early 90's Swiss style scout produced by Colonial that costed me 50¢, but 2 BUCKs, and two Vics one being vintage all for a dollar each is an unheard of deal.

The 709 is a model I wouldn't hate to own if found for a great deal.

Btw I've never heard of that Victorinox model before.
