Vintage buck 110?

This is probably a dumb question, but how old would a Buck 110 need to be to be considered "vintage" or of worth to a collector?

I ask because I just purchased an old 1981-86 Buck 110 (2 dots on either side of the number ..110..). I originally purchased it as a user, but the knife came to me in basically unusable condition, though it was described as "all good." The edge (if I could even call it that) is completely rolled from ricasso to tip, and 3-4mm of the tip is bent maybe 20 degrees. I'm an amateur at sharpening so I don't want to try fixing it. Then the thing reeks of...I don't even know what. It's just a real musty/BO sort of smell that is nauseating. I don't think I'd want to ever meet the previous owner. Would a knife of this age be of interest to a collector (despite being in such dilapidated condition)?
Somehow I doubt it, but I really don't know about these things. Please inform me. If the seller does not offer me a refund, I will probably sell it somewhere. If it is of no value though, I may just give it away.

If it wasn't for the rolled edge, bent tip and nauseating stench, it would be a pretty nice knife.

Thanks in advance.

I believe "vintage" probably means different time frames for different folks.

For me, it is anything pre 1986, when they started using the symbols.

For others it may be pre dots, others it may be one or two liners.

Take that smelly thang and get after it with some dishwashing soap and a brush.

Then a couple drops of 3n1 or sewing machine oil on the blade pivot.

Depending on what you paid for it would determine a good deal or not.

Put up some pics if you can!!

I figured that was the case. Hopefully I can sell it on ebay for no loss...though I don't know how many buck collectors really look there.

I washed the thing in the sink with dishwashing soap and a sponge, but the smell still persists. I even tried rubbing it down with some rubbing alcohol. Still smelly, though not nearly as bad as it initially was.

The action isn't bad at all, though a drop of oil may make it a bit smoother.

I bought it for 24.99 with shipping, which seems about average recently on ebay (I've seen new ones go for a little less and I've seen them go for more).
I'll also try to get some pics up when I get the chance. I've been pretty busy lately. Excluding the tip and edge, the thing looks old and used. The brass shows discoloration and the wood isn't flush with the liners on the top and bottom of the knife (I don't know if they were designed this way?). The wood has lots of little cracks along the grain, which I'm assuming isn't normal. The blade is pretty clean, though it does have some deep scratches from use. There is a little horizontal bladeplay, but the lockup is fine otherwise.

The handle definitely shows its age and the blade shows its been used (and judging from the tip, abused). So it's really not in what the seller calls "all good" condition, but it isn't broken or anything. I would personally say it's in poor condition, bordering on fair, but that's somewhat subjective. The sheath is also a little beat up looking.
