Can anyone help me ? I have an older knife from my grandpa , it’s a BUCK knife , with black handle. It’s a fixed blade maybe 5-6 inches ? I’ve seen similar buck knives online but the one I have has “V121” on the blade and the ones I’ve seen online say just “121” on the blade . Any idea what the difference is? Idk how to add photos ?

I’m pretty sure it’s a Fisherman Filet knife, I can see ones online that say the 121 is from 1972-1986 but those only have the 121 on them no V.Probably not a V, at least not the letter V. That could be the date code. An arrow head pointed down means 1989.Uploading images
