Wondering in regards to the vintage square 110”s, which are the easiest to sharpen?
Are the 3 Dot or 2 Dot considered more desirable and which is a better working knife with materials?
How many 3 dot and 2 dot 110 were made?

The third dot marks the inclusion of a busing in the blade pivot. There is no difference in sharpening a two dot or three dot, and other than the bushing the materials are the same. I don't know that any one would be more 'desirable' than the next.

Over the years the steel used changed from 440 to 425 to 420 and also edge profile. Edge 2000 is considered the easiest to resharpen and I think the 110 was made with 420 in 2000..Considered by many to be the best in that regard.

The 2-dot and 3-dot were both 440C. 4-dot starts 425m. 420HC starts about '92.

I am not sure that is an easy question to answer. Let's just say they are plentiful yet.
