My wife's great grandfather was a butcher in Boston. While cleaning out her father's house last weekend we found his mighty butcher knife. The blade is 9 inches long made by F. Dick in Germany No. 84 1x53. It must weigh 7 pounds! I tried to post some pics but seem to be having trouble
The blade is in good shape considering its age. There are some rust spots, pitting and what looks like a oil or water stain.
She wants me to clean it up if possible. Does anyone have some suggestions for doing so. Thanks so much!
