It's an "XX Era" knife made between 1940-1964.

That knife was originally a two blade (with secondary pen blade) jack...model 2231 1/2 SAB. Railsplitter is correct on the stamp, XX era 1940's to 1964. Case has not made that pattern since 1976.

Someone "knocked it down" to make it into a single blade knife.
