I have a mint condition never used Cold Steel Shinobu folder in San Mai III steel. These are right out of the mid 1980's and pretty rare today. Probably the best folder Cold Steel ever made and cutting edge of it's time. It has the original belt pouch also. The blade is 3 1/2" long by 3/16" thick(very stout blade) by 8" long when opened, closed is aprox 4 1/2". Sorry for the poor pictures but you can see the lamination line. The lint or spots are really not there. Must be the reflection. This knife is mint in every way. I do not habe the box. Asking $150 shipped and insured. 1st to email gets it! Thanks for looking!!!

I know I am missing something but the folder looks like a fixed blade? I love the CS SMIII folders. Where am I going wrong? Is this knife in San Mai III back from the time frame of Carbon V knives?
Thanks much
Zac

This is an old lock back folder, not a fixed blade If you look closely at the 1st picture you can see the lock release towards the end of the handle. The blade looks close to the shape of their fixed blade tantos . It was made when Carbon V 1st came out IIRC in the 1980's. It is a stainless San Mai III blade and not Carbon V. Thanks for the intrest!

Gentlemen, it's all right to ask questions about an unfamiliar knife, although that would have been better done offline. But please don't throw in comments unrelated to actual purchasing, that's chatting, which is a violation of our rules.
