Vintage Gerber Folding Hunter Cutaway Salesman's Model c.1960s-1970s

Wondering if anyone out there has any info re: my Old Gerber Cutaway Salesman's model.. It looks like half of a knife in order to show the inner workings of the old Checkered Walnut folding hunter from the late 60s and early 70s.. The blade is unsharpened and marked Patent Pending.. Also with the usual Gerber markings on tang.. I have never seen another one . The guy I got it from identified it to me as I have done in this post.. I will try to put on a picture if I can figure out how to do that.. Thanks.
