The Mark I was purchased in the late 70's and appears to be an early model with the black handle and black leather sheath as there is a paper inside from Pete Gerber announcing these changes. Includes original box, plastic sleeve, and the paper.
The Guardian was purchased in 1981 and is the original model designed by Loveless. Includes original box, pastic sleeve, and papers.
The Guardian Harness set was purchased about the same time as the Guardian or shortly thereafter. It permits shoulder or ankle carry. The sheath assembly appears almost new, but the elastic harnesses are undoubtedly deteriorated with age. They look good, but probably would not stretch without damage. Original box, papers.
As the photos show, the knives and sheaths are in very good condition. The Guardian appears to have it's original edge with few handling marks. The Mark I shows some scratches on the blade that appear to be from sharpening. These scratches are not visible in the photos as they show up more at a certain angle, but are visible in person.
