Guys,

We've decided to part out out Al Mar Knives SERE series knife collection.

We had 1 ea of all 16 different models. 1 has sold, and 4 are on ebay.

These knives are all mint, and most are still new in the original box.

I'm not posting model numbers or prices because they probably won't be around long enough to justify the effort...

Besides, once we decided to sell, it was all about price negotiation anyway...;)

They don't come along this way often. If interested, please email...

I was doing a search on the Web to see what my Al Mar SERE knife was worth and came across this forum and your posting.

I know you have probably sold all of your Al Mar knives, but perhaps you can help me determine the value of mine.

I have a SERE 3003 lockback/folding knife with wood-grain micarta handle and original camo shieth that is in excellent condition. Unfortunately, I do not have the original box. Since there's no way I can attach a photo in this message, there's probably no way you can identify the knife. However, I'll include my E-mail address. Perhaps I will hear from you so I can send you a photo.

Thanks and best regards,

Phil, I'm extremely familiar with the knife, and will email this post to you as well...but, for the benefit of our fellow readers, the knife you describe is 'the original' SERE folder, and could be valued at between $250 & $450 depending on the actual condition at time of sale, the mindset of both buyer & seller, planetary alignment, the economy, etc...

They're very well-made knives, unfortunately they were expensive to sart with, and the collector base is small...so, the prices haven't increased much over the years, not even keeping pace with inflation...

Anyhoo, a nice knife to keep or sell...the 'tactical' knife that started the whole craze in fact...

Hope that helps,

Shel

I'm I the only one left. I was going to sell all but decided to keep them for now.
