Vintage Marbles Expert PRICE REDUCED TO $120[/B SOLD THANKS 1BLUEDOG!
I am selling off some of my collection to finance my addiction to Spyderco and Busse knives. This is a Marble’s Expert that I purchased from AG Russell in 1998. It comes with the original letters of authenticity from A.G. Russell as well as Marble’s. It also comes with my original receipt. This Marble's Expert knife is new old stock with the box, sheath and paper. In 1994 the new owners of Marble's Knives in Gladstone, Michigan - James Lauerman and his son Craig R. Lauerman(President)began assembly of Marble's Expert Knife Blades that were in left over inventory from the original Marble's factory. These blades were 60 years old, and date to the early 1930's. The knife was a Limited Edition, limited to the blades in the original inventory at the factory. There were a few thousand old Expert Blades left in inventory. After the modern heat treatment, they would assemble these old Expert blades, that were deemed of a suitable high quality, into finished knives, until all remaining inventory was used. That would end the Edition. The blade in this Marbles knife has the original stamped tang markings, and the blade is new, and at least 60 years old. It was sold as a collectible and I have not seen any for sale since then. This is NOT the same thing as the Marbles that were/are for sale currently. The tang stamp was changed on the newer ones to distinguish them from vintage ones. It is brand new with sheath in the original box.
