What surface finish (with Sic powder) should i give my vintage medium grit Norton Berh India?

I was thinking maybe 60 grit, because i finish my fine on 120 grit, but some may think thats too coarse??

I would go 60 grit.
It will end up smoothing out after a couple sharpenings anyway.
