Vintage Pocket Knife Card Displays

Just came across these complete vintage knife cards from the 1960s. I dug them out of the attic crawl space in my great-aunt's home located in Easton, PA. They were still in the original packaging, preserving them in mint condition all these years! Check em' out:

That's quite a find. What's the story behind these? How did they end up in the attic?

My great-aunt's son (recently deceased) sold a variety of wares at a local flea market from the 1950s - 1980s. He bought in bulk and stored it all in the crawl spaces of the finished attic room. Over time, and due to his hoarder tendencies, the attic filled to overflowing (I filled a 40 yard dumpster with the contents) and he was unable to access these items. In total, I dug out over 8,000 vintage pocket knives, all in their original packaging.

I've been an avid knife collector for over 25 years, so this discovery blew my mind. Thought I'd share it with like-minded people. Thanks for checking it out!

Yep. Approximately 8,000. Could be more. I found a ton of unopened 1 dozen boxes of Marksman pocket knives in small/medium/large sizes (circa 1971). Wood handle with brass ends (made in Pakistan). Also a ton of these made by Colonial Knife Company, Providence, RI, USA (circa 1960s-70s):
