I recently acquired a small collection of fixed blade knives. Among the collection were two very interesting knives. The first is a small R.H. Ruana 4" blade sticker pattern with a brass guard and what appears to be ivory handles with a brass diamond inlay in the hilt and an engraved Ruana "M" signature (1962-1983). I am trying to find out more info on this knife as it appears to be a custom offering. Also I picked up a nice Morseth 5" blade with wood handles and what appears to be a laminated blade. Unfortunately there were no sheaths with either knife. Any feedback on where to find more info or values or where to get sheaths would be appreciated.

Why not contact Ruana directly ...still same location and family run

I spoke with the Ruana team today and sent them pictures, their feedback is that since the 4" sticker has an "M" after the Ruana name it is a 1962-1983 knife. I was told that particular configuration is rare especially if it is an Ivory handle. Also they can fix me up with a proper sheath with period correct stamping and fittings.

Well see as it's off to the Ruana shop for a sheath, I've asked them to provide some background on the knife.

Thread necromancy!!!

You have been reported to the High Command!
