I picked up some nice vintage Remington knives and have one that I can't find out much about. It's probably a 1930's vintage Remington Cattle Knife advertising Ralston Purina. The knife is in good shape with solid walk and talk. Just wondering if anyone knows the model number or anything about the value of this old cattle knife. All 4 blade tangs are marked with the same Remington tang stamp.

Below is a picture of the rest of my Remington finds!

Remingtons with blades open, mostly a lot of nice used knife, non are mint. Oops note the 3 blade on the right, 3rd up from the bottom is a Winchester, also picked up 4 interesting Winchesters, will post later.

Thanks!

I thought I had one to show a pic of, but it has escaped my drawer. Now to search in the couch. :)

here is a link to Remington Tang stamps

Based on the tang stamps, I think your purina knife is from 1924-1933
BF forbids discussing value, you can pay Bernard Levine for his opinion.

thats a great bunch of knives more pics welcome, in particular with blades open on the Barlow and that beautiful bareheaded clip bladed one.. is that stag?
here are a couple of Remington Barlows that have been in my hands, they have the same tang stamp as your Purina knife:

I have three. One is this little guy:

There's a small 2-blade jack wandering around in black Pyremite, but it's in pretty rough shape. Blades are worn, and it wobbles like a drunkard.

Last is a circa 1933 hunter, sheath is dual-branded DuPont and Remington. Nice little knife, orange/red scales of likely Bakelite.

Nice bunch of Remingtons. I have seen 4 or 5 different Purina models from Remington. You have a good one there. The pyramite handles have gone bad on a lot of the ones I see.

Thanks for all of the nice comments, I finally found the Purina knife in an old Sargents knife value book.
