I received this knife and others in 1985 after my grandmothers husband passed away. I have been going through them and thinking about selling a few. It seems as though there is a lot of interest in the R1263 knife but the only info that I can seem to find is on the 1986 re-make. This is a vintage knife and came with a bunch of old Union and Case knives. Any ideas on where to look to get more info and an approximate value? Thanks

"Remington Knives Past & Present:Identification and Value" by Ron Stewart & Roy Ritchie is probably the best place to start.

go to barnes &nobel books, see collectibles should be book on old knives.hint; some of these things can be worth several hundred $

The value all depends on condition, and the prices quoted in the guide books are for mint condition. Post pictures in Bernard Levine's subforum.

Send them all to me right know and I will tell you everything you need to know.
No seriously if its a genuine remington bullet from the 1920 or 30's in mint condition, its worth thousands, if its a remake it will have the date stamped on it and its worth about a hundred bucks. There are a number of books on knife values, but if they are old and in good con. they need to be appraised by a professional. But you can still send them to me, if you want, you can.
