The Schrade Scrimshaw line featured designs by Frank Giorgianni Sr. A lot of things have changed since the '80s and I was wondering who owned the rights to these vintage images at this point. Stewart Taylor? Still F. Giorgianni? No one?

While I'm interested in hearing guesses I'd really like a definitive answer on this if I can get one. Thanks guys!

Taylor Brands LLC. At this point, they would come under the copyrights and trade dress that was in the portfolio of I.P. purchased by Mr. Taylor in the auction back in 2004.

Thanks Codger. I figured as much but thought I would confirm it.

I forgot to mention also, unless there was some unorthodox contract involved, art created for Schrade while he was in their employ was their property, not his. For definitive confirmation, you really need to ask Mr. Taylor or his son. They will answer truthfully if they consider the Giorgianni art (and others) to be their intellectual property. That would be primary source confirmation.

Has there ever been a thread on F. Giorgianni art? If not there should be one. I did the search and didn't come up with anything except this one. I thought a while back his son gave some information.

Thanks, Larry, Nice to know I still have a few cells that work. I was thinking that folks could take pictures of their knives with F. Giorgianni art. I only have three but one is a Frontier. Don't think I have seen all the different patterns.
