Vintage Sebenza

Grats!Look inside the frame and tell us the letter and two digit number there. With that info we can tell you what year it was made and what the blade steel is.

I've scored large regular Sebenza, but without b'day card, so I don't know about blade steel and age. Is that leather lanyard original?
Any help? Thank for comments.

I've got large regular #63, which has been my EDC since '96. Born on 8/1/96, it originally had an ATS-34 blade ( I've replaced the original blade with S30V). Regulars were shipped with ATS-34 for a short while before CRK transitioned to BG-42 -- don't know where #112 was in that transition. The leather lanyard is not standard.

Congrats on the great acquisition!

I would send Chris Reeve an email. They should be able to help you more. It has the older pocket clip so I am thinking maybe early BG42 or ATS 34 blade. The scale production and the date of the knife may be different. It can happen for example that a scale is produced in 2005 and the knife is only made in 2006 but it might give us an idea.

The 112 if done by Chris might give a better understanding so email them and let us know please!

Sure I'll do. I've sent two emails to Chris Reeve on Monday, I've got just "out of office" info.
Thanks all.

I would have to be the first to plead guilty to sometimes forgetting to turn off my out of office message. I'd give them a call. You'll get immediate attention.

There is nothing, no letter nor numbers. Blade steel should be ATS-34 (according my investigation ).
How much is this beauty worth?
