Above pic was taken by Daniel Koster of this vintage WWII Indian officer's khukuri before he sold it to me a couple of years ago. This was also taken before he cleaned up the edge by applying a beautiful convex bevel (see pic below). The knife has a rare integral guard and handle slabs of buffalo horn and elephant ivory. Closeup below of handle shows some pitting on horn—ivory is in very good condition. Includes (as shown above) karda and chakma, with horn handles in fair-to-poor condition, and leather sheath that shows a lifetime of use and wear. Knife itself is solid, handles are tight, and would be ready for use as is with a new sheath.
