Viper Dan 2 Scale Options - Opinions Please!

Hello all,

I've settled on getting the DAN 2 for a UK Friendly EDC.

Curious on opinions on scales (appreciate its personal).

The Burgundy Micarta on the DAN doesn't seem to look great from a few videos I've seen (seems to show signs of wear very quickly, and the pours look to get clogged and darken quickly).

The other option is the Bocote wood scales which look classy, but wondering how they'll hold up to EDC (light tasks to be fair, so I'm sure it'll be fine!)

Lastly, it's quite funny to see the shifting prices through historical posts.

At one point, it seemed Wood was the more expensive option, but lately, the Micarta seems to be more expensive (more popular perhaps?)

In this instance, the Micarta is actually £20 cheaper than the Wood, but I'm still not sure it's enough to sway me.....

What are your thoughts?

I'd have gone with the bocote regardless of price. The fact that it's cheaper just further cements the decision.

I went with the Bocote.

It’s actually £20 more expensive, but the more I looked at the Burgundy Micarta, the more it looked like it would be better suited for tactical usage, and I want something inoffensive for the UK crowd.

Good choice. I like the Dan 2 a lot. Truth be told, I prefer the Olive wood, but it looks like there's at least a 2 week lead on those.

I’d like one of the olive ones as a spare, but it was probably my 3rd choice behind the Bocote and Ziricote for an EDC.

But definitely see the appeal of the olive (probably looks the classiest of them all)
