Vipers

Much neglected in the forum is the topic of Ernie's Vipers. I own a Viper 1 (the perfect knife for daily carry in a business suit) and a Viper 5. Anyone out there have a 2 or a 3?

Vipers seem to be a rare species. I haven't seen that many.

Are the Vipers still advertised in Emerson's catalog?

I had a Viper 3 but I sold it a few years ago. It's my favourite viper because of the blade length and handle design.

Dirk: The Vipers are listed in Emerson's current catalog. Unfortunately I've never seen one anywhere but in the catalog. Wouldn't mind getting my hands on one for at least a few minutes (please????).

I had seen a couple of Vipers on Arizona custom knive's website a while back. They were used, and they wanted something like $600 or $700 apice for them. A pretty good price for an emerson custom. That is the only place that I have ever seen any for sale.

I have one on order. Since I ordered it about 1 1/2 years ago, it should be about 2 1/2 more years before I get it.
