Viridian C5L light won't turn off

I just picked up a C5L, and whenever the laser or 100lumen (or combination of both) is off, a super-dim light stays on. I would prefer that when I turn it off that there's no light whatsoever.

Can anyone else here chime in if it happens on theirs?
 
What kind of batteries are you using? I've noticed that mine doesn't work well with cheap Chinese batteries I got from eBay, but works great with higher quality batteries. So see if changing batteries helps. Otherwise contact the company and see if they have any ideas. I've spoken with them before and they are very responsive. Other than the cheap battery issue, I love mine.
 
I've only been able to sample it with the battery that came in the box.

Hopefully a newer battery works. Waiting until Monday for Customer Service is gonna kill me. :(
 
they sent an email on Monday around 9cst with instructions on return and a UPS shipping label. I sent it off Tuesday.

so far so good....

i tried another brand of batteries and it didn't solve the issue.
 
quick q, were you able to use only one screw to mount it on the rails?

i'd like to use two. it would prevent it from getting off POI from rough handling.
