Many of you will remember what seems like an eternity ago when I told you about a new project I was working on called Virtual Knife Show. That was about August of last year, and though we certainly thought it would be ready long before this, I can promise you that the wait was well worth it.

Virtual Knife Show will be a place where makers can sell knives directly to collectors via the web with no middlemen. It will be fully automated, e-commerce, and very professional looking. The site looks as professional as any of the best handmade knives.

If you are planning on coming to the Blade Show, and you are a maker who would like to find a way to sell more knives yourself, without dealers, we'll be meeting in Room 110 (across from the show entrance) at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday morning. I will explain the features of the site, answer questions, and talk about how t6o get started. Collectors are welcome as well.

The site will be going live on July 1st, so anyone can get in on the initial launch. If you needs to get a hold of me at the show, I'm at table 13-P in the ABS section, and my cell phone is 423-366-8009.

See you all there!

As I said recently in another thread "these are interesting times in the custom knife world".

It's going to be interesting to see how well this idea works. I'm hoping it turns out to be a great addition to ways that makers can market their knives.

Well, Burt, I'm hoping to have no inventory to sell after Sunday! I'll probably talk to about it anyway.

yeah, I hope everyone sells out. Virtual Knife Show won't just be for those who are taking unsold knoves home with them. It is a long term marketing tool that will allow a maker to reach further and get exposure with a much wider audience than we can do on our own.

Stop by Sunday and see what you think...
