Saw one of these in Home Depot the other day. Kind of thin in the tool department (pliers, wire cutter, stripper, knife blade, bit driver, scraper). For me, it's got the most important items with a wire cutter on LOCKING pliers, and the bit driver. I would rather a needlenose than the large capacity round jaws, but I guess it's more versatile this way. If they replaced the scraper with a can or bottle opener it would be an improvement. heck, take away the knife blade too - I always have at least one high-quality knife around anyway.

Anyone have one of these yet?

Russ - they sell for about $20. I bought one a couple weeks ago. Basically, a "poor man's version" or a Leatherman Crunch or Kershaw MultiTool. BTW the fold out blades/tools and locking mechanism are manufactured by Schrade. For the price, it's a well made multitool. My only complaint with it is the tip of the knife blade sits above the line of the bottom handle. Though, your hand never contacts that area so accidental cuts are nil, unless you deliberately and willingly run your finger over that part. Other than this, it's standard fare Vise-Grip quality and function. I bought mine at Home Depot, and the week after that made a trip to Lowes Home Improvement and saw they carried the same tool, but with a sheath. DOH! Anyway, mine resides inside my toolbox.

RH - Leave the knife blade in there. This way, you can do those cutting/scraping tasks that you'd never subject a high quality knife to ;)

Thanks for the info, Dex. May need to get one for the truck...

Hopefully they will make a needlenose version...
