September 17th is the Vishwa Karma holiday puja at the shop in Nepal. This very special holiday is celebrated with the shop and all the tools
being cleaned and blessed, sacrifices made to Vishwa Karma and a festival of rejoicing. All of the craftsmen (we have quite a few new ones) extend hearty greetings and sincere thanks to all the forumites who continue to support their work through Himalayan Imports.

Thank you, Berkley for the picture.

~~~Smoke~~~ and a wish that the kamis' work will always be skillful and pleasing to Sri Bishwakarma.
Best wishes to all the kamis and their families for a great celebration! I hope they all have a wonderful time. I truly wish I could be there to witness the festivities and meet the artisans personally. Although, I do like to have a tipple or two at celebrations, and I'm sure there won't be any drinking there, with all those sharp knives about, right? ;) :D
Pics posted for Yangdu, I'm sure she'll be along in a second to give us a description.
