Today is Vishwa Karma Puja holiday at the shop in Nepal. This very special holiday is celebrated with the shop and all the tools being cleaned and blessed, sacrifices made to their Hindu Gods and a festival of rejoicing. All of the craftsmen new and old extend hearty greetings and sincere thanks to all the forumites who continue to support their work thorough Himalayan Imports.

Yangdu,
I extend my respect & best wishes to all there. Please thank Kamis Tirtha for creating the beautiful Khukuri that helps protect my home now.

And a mighty thanks to Yangdu and all the Kamis for providing such a genuine quality product at reasonable prices!

This is part of what makes HI so special to me. It's not just about the blades. It's a spiritual and cultural experience. Thank you, Yangdu.

Dear Yangdu: I wish you and your skilled craftsmen in Nepal my sincere best wishes for the coming year. Although I am a relative newcomer to your wonderful HI blades, the experience has been a very positive one for me. Your blades are the best and your customer service is unmatched.

So that's how the kami's manage to pound out such excellent blades!

In all seriousness though, best wishes to all who are a part of the HI family, even those quirky cousins here on the forums.

Happy Holiday... do they bless all the blades they make or just the ones on a special occasion?

Happy holiday to HI and all kamis.

I think all blades are blessed on regular bases, but not sure though.

Anyhow, I know mine have a spirit on its own:D
