I recently purchased a CQC-15 from EKI and noticed when I opened the blade you can now see the detent hole at the base of the blade. I realize functionally it's not an issue but aesthetically, it bothers me. I was told that now the detent is on the spring side of the liner which helps keep the blade closed so that's a positive. I just wish the liners and scales were tooled to make it more pleasing to the eye. Thoughts?

I know what you mean, but this does not bother me. I am just happy that the hole is usually the right size to allow the detent ball to drop enough to create a strong detent. I recently bought a CQC-15 from a dealer who represented it as being recently made. It turned out that it was not and had a double detent which was definitely not what I wanted.
