Ok...You asked for it, now it's available. We have a small and limited quantity of straight edged Visions, Night Visions, and X-Ray Visions. These were offered to forumites months ago, and only a couple were purchased. We have the rest still in stock. These are not standard production Visions...Only 12 were made of each kind in this run todate.

Hi Ron, I noticed on another thread that you still have a few fully straight Visions for sale. Can you tell us how many of each are still avaliable? Thanks,

Hi Heber,

Great to hear from you. Here’s the number of straightedged only Visions left in our stock as of this second (because of my post this morning which you referenced, we’ve received 2 or 3 calls/emails/orders):
  • SOG Vision (Titanium handled): 5
  • Night Vision (G-10 handled): 8
  • X-Ray Vision (Zytel handled): 8
Let me know if there’s anything else I can do for you. :)

The problem with buying direct from the company, whether it's SOG, or Spyderco, or whoever, is that you have to pay MSRP. No discount from MSRP makes knives too expensive for me. I understand that a company selling direct to the public has to charge list price to avoid competing with their dealers, and that make sense.

Hi Marty,

Let me explain a bit more completely for everyone where we're at on this topic.

SOG has a policy of NOT competing with our dealers. Since some dealers will slightly (or more so) discount our products off MSRP, it can be more financially advantageous to buy from such a dealer. But, if we meet or beat their prices, we could put ourselves in a position of losing our dealer base. SOG is predominately NOT a retailer (preferring customers to buy from dealers). SOG does, though, make retail sales available to customers only for the purpose of their convenience (if they don't have a dealer nearby) or personal desire (if we have something not regularly stocked by dealers). The downside is, as you've stated, that MSRP is the only advertised price at which we feel we will sell. Since not all stores actually discount off MSRP, it is not a hit to the buyer unless they will ONLY buy at a discount.

It, of course, then comes down to a customer's desire for the item in question. It is also possible for a dealer to special order such items. They may choose, on a special order, not to discount the item.

Thanks for understanding. :)
