I'm not sure if this is the correct forum location for this thread. I had the pleasure of visiting Raymond Richards' shop yesterday. Ray was very accomodating and a pleasure to visit with. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and found him to be an extraordinarily generous man with his time and knowledge. We shared ideas back and forth, but I was definitely the one doing the learning for the most part. I will be putting some of the lessons he taught me into practice, as I move forward.

If any of you have the chance to stop and see Mr. Richard's at a knife show, I promise you it will be time well spent and an enjoyable experience. His passion for creating solid, beautiful cutlery that performs to a high standard was very evident to me during my time there. His passion will stay with me as I move forward.

Lastly, I'd like to say thanks to Mr. Richard's. I enjoyed the visit, and look forward to future conversations and encounters.

Thank you sir, for you time and patience with me!

Scott,
Don't let him fool you.........he must have taken his meds yesterday!:D

Sounds like you had a nice visit.

Ive met him at the Eugene show but it was hard because his table is always surrounded by scantily dressed young women.

Bruce, I need to start paying more attention at the shows or maybe it was durring my nap time when those scantily dress young women showed up.

Scott, I enjoyed the visit. Us makers that do it full time turn into hermits and very seldom see anyone durring the week. I enjoyed the visit and your more than welcome to come back. BTW you can call me Ray...... :D

If there are scantily clad women at your table, then I won't be able to bring my wife to shows. Which won't bother her too much. She's a good little soldier....to a point.
