I had the pleasure of visiting the factory store on my recent trip to Colorado. Made the trip to Wheat Ridge before I realized it had moved to Golden. :( Cody was very knowledgeable and let me handle pretty much every knife in the store without complaining :D I appreciated being able to handle the different knives, and was amazed that I had by accident ended up with the one I liked the best of all (Calypso Jr.), thanks largely to good reviews here. He had a burgendy CJ, but I guess they weren't for sale yet so I coudn't get one, which made my wife happy, since I had promised to only buy a couple of kitchen knives. I see that the new CJ's are now available.

I did get a Santoku, a paring knife, a serrated utility and a large Byrd folder (9.95!) and a bunch of knife magazines. They just arrived in the mail (I didn't want to hassle with carrying them in my luggage) and I'm looking forward to using the kitchen knives especially.

Anyways, I had a good time at the store and appreciated the friendly and knowledgeable service

They have a very nice selection of Japanese kitchen knives there. I have added a couple of Masahiros to my collection from there. I would have bought Spyderco brand, but they tend to have serrations on the models that I want plain edged.

They did have several nice sets of kitchen knives. I went with the spyderco santoku, utility and paring, because. . . . when in Rome!
