Usually around these parts there is but junk behind the glass in these shops...but yesterday I had a hunch to re-visit a few spots.
I couldn't believe it but there it was! A nice looking Black sheath and a glint of brass.Saw the price, peeled off the cabage, and this beauty followed me home :)
An unused 1988, 112 with but a bit of verdigris on the brass, not a mark on the blade, not a ding anywhere, factory edge unused...hit it with some Mothers and stropped the edge...it's got a real bite to it...

I call these with unmatched scales my Gemini knives ;)

I'm glad I listened to my hunch this time...

Ah yes........common pawn dreams.

Usually dashed are these hopes.

You demonstrate why we keep looking........once in a while, we find.

Good work!

Good find, on a very nice knife. Congrats.

It seems like most of my Buck 100'-112' have mismatched scales. I thought it was part of the Buck design.:)

BG, I had pretty much given up on ever finding anything anything nice in the local shops...I just happened to have some time to kill and got lucky I guess...
