Visitor Messaging Question

Is there a way I can configure the Visitor Messaging privacy settings so that everyone from registered member or higher can leave me a message but that no one can view any messages that may've already been left for me?

The profile privacy menu has an option to block off Visitor Messaging so that only friends/contacts can see it...However, I wasn't sure what it meant exactly...if I make it friends/contacts-only, will other members still be able to leave one for me? Or is the entire thing going to be blocked off for anyone not on my friends/contacts?

I have no idea. The way the system usually works is on or off. Best bet would be to contact a friend and a non-friend and test it.

Thanks anyway, that's exactly what I planned on doing if I didn't get responses here. Just wanted to see if there was an easy answer first.

Just in case anyone cares about the answer...if you set privacy to "contacts/friends" for Visitor Messaging, they will indeed be the only ones that can view or post one.

So you do have to set it to "Registered Members" if you want all BF members to be able to leave a message. But everyone on BF - registered & above - will be able to view the messages as well.
