Vista deleting...

My Vista keeps flashing the contrast square & it's maddening. Short of pumping .45 rounds at it,is there an easy fix? I'm not too swift but I might muddle through.

Check these settings in the Control Panel (Classic View).

1. Click on "Ease of Access Center" icon.
2. Click on "Use text or visual alternatives for sounds"
3. Uncheck "Turn on visual notifications for sounds (Sound Sentry)".
4. Click Save.

If this doesn't work you may have to do a repair install.
