Howdy folks-
I get a free upgrade to Vista Ultimate through school. My new laptop has Vista basic. I'd like to this, and have downloaded the upgrade onto a disc. But when I go to run it, it tells me that I only have the option to do an install that erases all my data. It won't allow me to choose the option that is simply an upgrade, and keeps the data.
Anyone know what that would be, or know how to get around it? I've only just recently gotten my security stuff right and don't want to start from scratch again.
