I typically lean toward knives with super steels, but the Volli just caught my eye. What a great little knife (actually not as little as I expected).

When i first started to really commit to the knife insanity I carried a 4" folder but over time I have downsized. The Volli at 3.25 is a nice size and with it's rather large scales it feels like a bigger knife. The Volli came laser beam sharp and with a couple of strokes on the strop it is perfect.

I love M4 and M390 but it is hard to say much bad about Benchmade's S30V.

i just picked one up at a gun show. I was really looking at some automatics and I picked this up last and was so impressed by the smooth action opening and speed that I said right there, I'll take it. Less than half the amount of money I was going to put into an auto. Got a little pocket knife for my son too.

Its not too shabby. I just received one in a trade, I've only got two complaints about it. It had horrendous blade play. im fairly certain that the coil spring wasn't set right which is what caused the play. And about an inch up on the blade there was a solid dent in it. When closing, the blade was hitting the stainless pin for the safety.

I took the assist out and both problems fixed! Im not a fan of assisted, i was planning on removing it anyways, just not right away.

One thing i really liked with the assist is it can be waved from the pocket. Just catch the thumbstud on the pocket and it waves right out like it was intentional. I've almost accidentally done it with my Rift, but the assist just makes it fly out.

Also, the grips are a little wide. But the liners are recessed from the g10 so there is plenty of room to thin them out.
