Volli Vs Barrage (blue class)

i have both. volli has better steel & nicer grips. if you're wanting a combo edge, I'd go with 580 due to longer blade though. barrage is definitely a durable knife, I suspect the volli will be no different. one of the more common complaints with barrages are the cheap-feeling valox handles. they're kind'a slick too (again, imo).
 
I have the Volli and all of the Barrages. Compared to the 585/580 the Volli has better grip material and better steel. I only carry the 585 when i go to areas in my state where a 3" blade is the max. I cannot carry the Volli to these areas since it is about 1/4" longer. :'(
When i am in areas where length has no law, i carry the 581. It is m390 steel and is 3.6" long. I choose this over the 580 due to the blade steel. To me the 581 is a superior knife to the Volli.
What i boils down to is that i never carry the Volli. Either i cant carry it because it is illegal or i have better options. The Volli is not a bad knife, it is just an odd-ball in my lineup. If the 581 at 3.6" is too long for you and the Volli at 3.25" is legal, then the Volli over the Mini Barrage for sure.

I have a Volli and I love it! The handle is super thin and it seems to be even lighter than the listed weight of 4.28 oz. the blade is thin and has superior cutting geometry. It sliced some boxes like nothing for me over the weekend, it seriously cut better than my ZT 0550.
