Hi, anyone care to comment on an American branded item for sale over here? How it got here I do not know.

I googled with nothing much as a result. I imagine some members who served in the forces may have seen these items and could give me an idea of their age and their rep, I'm thinking it could be ok as a ice box for camping. Since the camping last month where I threw out our old ice box into a Parks' skip... I'm in the market.

They're used to temporarily transport food from a kitchen to a remote location for short term storage and distribution. Used at teen camps, ball games, or military kitchens to troops training in the field. Very commonly found in food service industry. They're not cheap!

It would probably work as it has a great seal around the lid and has good clasps. Keep in mind they're about keeping food warm or cold for a few hours and not a few days. We had one at our business with a petcock to store/serve coffee and it didn't keep things warm much past 4 hours before the coffee was very Luke warm.

Thanks very much for that info, its what the net does best (can't beat sharing real world experiences about products).
